FOODIE TRAVEL IDEAS IN ITALY

If you are one of lucky that have almost always weekends free from work or maybe this is the month where you chose to have them free, why don't plan some little escapes. For example if you are a foodie and you want to spend some times in Italy why don't choose place and dates with food festival and yes you can keep on a budget ( I know I am becaming boring but this is the true I am on a budget becaue I have important financial goals to achieve).

Maybe lot of you think that cheap holidays are only for teens, well this isn't true, if you like camping, adventure you can find really affordable deals but also if you prefer comfty bed, car is possible to find good deals... 

Planning ahed, usually you know months ahed when you are free from work, so you plan together your partner, friends, family destination and use some tips to save money and/or earn some more only for your next holidays, however in the world Italy is knew as a Foodie place, so y don't combine love for food with a trip in a new city?

Every region has typical food products, together amazing landscapes

Here some examples:

SAPORIE' (4-6/10/2013) This is an international street fod festival, where you can taste typical products of the city and other regions of italy plus you can see beautiful show and do a visit in the city of Cesena. For info visit here

CHEESE- (20-23/09/2013)yummy I love cheese, but I know I am not the only one, Slow food organize every year a fstival for it, when you walk in the city of BRa is free but there are some labs that needs reservation tickets until 16th of September but for more info go here

VAL DI NON- (12-13/10/2013) the most famous product of the land is the APPLE and this year the event POMARIA took suggestions and inspiration from myths together with Casolét cheese and local wine ( Groppello di Revò). For more details here

DORNO- (12-13/10/2013) ten years odf Bretagnina's pumpkin. I think that this veggie is as potatoes you can use from appetizer to cake, having delicious products, here you can learn more about the veggies and the product ( cookies, marmelade) more info here

GREVE IN CHIANTI (5-8/09/2013) Well if you like taste wine, really good wine this is perfect place for you, you can see where wine is created (amazing amazing places), this is 43th edition of Chianti Expo. Usually when you are outside of country and you said that you're from Italy, they start to say only positive things on our Chiant wine, plus land of Chianti is really beautiful.more info? here and here

SANT'ANGELO IN VADO (from 12 oct till 3 november 2013) In the region of Marche there is a very famous local product "the white truffle", I cannot say this is a cheap food, and honestly I must to admit that I don't like a lot until on a good risotto but is very interesting visit National exibithion of white truffle see and learn new receipe tasting a good glass of wine. details here

PERUGIA-EUROCHOCOLATE ( 18-27/10/2013) Every year in the city of Perugia there is a particular event connected with Chocolate, this year is been choose an ecological way, so you can taste really good chocolate products, nice shows, yes there is a mass of people every year for more info and pic go here

PARMA (6-22/9/2013): festival of prosciutto di Parma, this is one of my favourite because I love prosciutto but here together taste really good and origianl prosciutto the most important aspect is "open windows" where you can do free visit inside industry to see how it is really done and you will be surrounded by the place. more info? go hee

DIAMANTE (11-15/9/2013) Do you like spicy foods? you would put pepper on everything? well here you can see and understand better t"the prince of Calabria region" Mr pepper. there are stands that sells it and there is also a fun champion as "peppers eaters", win who eat more pepper, for the moment the record is  500 g in 30 minutes. info here

SAN VITO LO CAPO (24-29/09/2013) Sicily is the island in the middle distance between the rest of Italy and the North of Afrika, infact some of sicilian receipe came from Tunisi and other north Afrika parts, here you can still have sunbathing and try lcal foods, receipe and attend the Cous Cous fest, you can have opportunity to meet great famous chef and learn more about this magnificient land and charity organizations ( alot of time we forget that in our near nation there are real problems thanks to medici senza frontiere for their help. more info visit here

Now hotels cost are lower than august, is more easy find a room free, also camping is free from tourist, plus if you have friends ask for their couch, and on low cost flight size there are very interesting offers.
